Leaving a new review. With snow on its way, I decided to pick up some ribs so I stopped by to get a slab. I was in the area and these ribs have lol been on my mind. The price has increased in the last few years but is competitive to the surrounding market. I prefer a "whole slab" to "ribs by the pound". Here you can get sides or not according to your desire. I was given extra sauce with I appreciated. They always are courteous and speedy. I have never had to wait a long time. There are a lot of bar b q places but I recommend this place.

We were craving for some good ribs and we really enjoyed our experience! I love the vibe of the restaurant; love the decor, love the customer service. They were very welcoming, friendly and patient with our questions. Got the rack of ribs with a side of beans and fried squash. I can't complain! really good ribs! I would recommend this place!

Our server was extremely kind and was honestly the best part of the experience. She was speedy and attentive and downright friendly. the tips and chips were good, there were some dry parts but that's what you get with rib tips, there was plenty balanced out with actual rib meat. The chips could've been salted and fresher. The flavoring on the sauce was sweet.

Of the two "well known" local BBQ places, I would say I felt this restaurant was amazing by comparison (and in its own right). I had just won the bronze medal in bowling (Transplant Games of America), and we needed both food, and to celebrate. This place fit the bill. I ordered the chicken and pork plate with beans and mac and cheese, and a cup of brunswick stew to begin. First off, the stew had a lot of flavor, and stayed hot throughout the meal.....quite impressive (delicious and hot). While I thought the pulled pork had a "too soft" texture, the chicken was amazing, and I loved the beans. My whole party think this was the best rendition of mac and cheese we had had so far in Alabama. Though I detest it (for personal reasons(, my sister adored their banana pudding (I think her third serving of the trip so far). The customer service was amazing. Our server was very personable, and our drinks were always refilled. She engaged us in fun conversation, and congratulated me on my bronze medal. Overall, an amazing experience. Unfortunately, I must now quickly digest all of this delicious food, as the gold medal basketball game is scheduled for two hours from now. Well worth it, and I recommend you visit for some good 'Bama style BBQ

Perfect place to hit on the way back to TN from the beach. Located on the campus of UAB it has a relaxed sports vibe feel. Everything was super yummy but the sauce is what sets them apart from other bbq places. It was so delicious we bought a jar to take home. The fried okra was crispy on the outside and not soggy at all, plus it comes with a very tasty dip. The fries are seasoned nicely and great to dip in the sauce. My son loves the Mac and cheese and says it's the best he's ever had. We ordered the ribs and I will say even though the flavor was exceptional they were tougher than I expected. Next time I will try the pulled pork. The meal was complete with a yummy banana pudding. This will be our place to stop on the way home from the beach tradition for sure!

Picture it. BRW 2024! I decided to come partake in the lunch BRW offerings. This was post a very much needed massage , so I was ready to eat! Let's gooooo! My visit was mid afternoon so I arrived around 2:45pm on a Saturday. Parked in their attached lot. I was seated immediately and got to pick my seat. I opted for a booth by the fire pit. I was cold!!!! Service was fast! My server , Robert was on it! He took my drink order ( sweet tea w/t lemon) and put my order in. It' helped that I already knew what I wanted for my meal! Food: I ordered the $15 lunch special (no drink included) with Birmingham Restaurant week pre - fix menu. My meal consisted of rib sandwich (4 bones), one side and a dessert choice. I went with baked beans as my side. I selected banana pudding as my dessert. (See pic of full meal) All of this for $15 (tax & gratuity not included) is a great deal! I enjoyed my food and even had ribs leftovers! The ribs weren't as tender as I use to think they were but still quite tasty. Baked beans had a really nice flavor. The real star of the show was the banana pudding!!!! Absolutely amazing and worth $15 by itself... well that might be pushing it BUT it's soooo good! Perfection! I watched some college hoops while I dined. I enjoyed this little outing! I highly recommend adding this stop if you are participating in BRW2024!!
